My Shaklee Story


It all started about four years ago. I worked for a Marina Demolition, construction & installation company, where I worked my way up from a humble laborer all the way up to General Manager then to the position of Web Master & Internet Marketing specialist for said Company.

It seemed like every year around the Christmas Holiday's layoffs where immanent as the work halted for a few months every year as time went by the economy went belly up & we slid into a recession. Work was far & in between at that point, every ones hours cut to half or less leaving many wondering how to provide for their families & life styles.

Needless to say the only way to survive was to apply for unemployment which was less than half of what we made working part time. Well one week led to another then to one month then six months then before we knew it a year. All the while looking for work with other corporations putting in applications going to interviews & taking tests for the companies & passing with flying colors sure of job placement at any moment.

As time went on the corporations were hit by the recession all the jobs we applied for seemed to disappear right in front of our eyes before we ever got a chance to start. As time continued to move forward it was apparent that the job market was gone & there was no sign of it returning anytime soon. Our hopes & confidence shot by the lack of jobs & the rise of unemployment All over the world. Does this sound familiar to you?

A friend of mine contacted me just to say hi. Then she asked me how things were going in my life? Well you can imagine what she was thinking when I let the flood gates open & spilled my guts to her about my life. To tell you the truth when I was finished telling her everything that was going on I felt pathetic & I was sure she felt the same about me that I felt about myself I was sure I lost a friend for sure never to hear from her again or at least her telling me she was busy or look at the time whenever I contacted her.

What happened next shocked me. My friend asked me if she could show me away to make a living while working from home with my own business would I be willing to look at it? I was always told with other business plans you wont make it unless you use this or you have to have this if you want to be someone & on & on & on. I never was told I could decide if it was for me or not.

Well you guessed it I said sure. Why you ask? well I didn't have someone pressuring me & if they didn't pressure me then it must be something that really works & worth while to at least look at plus I didn't have anything to lose by just looking. After all she just asked me too look & looking never cost me anything except time & without a job I had plenty of that.

She gave me a time & a day for us to meet. Now she lives in Kansas & I live in Tennessee, I told her I can't afford to go all the way to Kansas I'm on a limited budget being on unemployment & all. She said no worries I have a online conference room, Wow how cool is that I didn't have to spend a dime on fuel, lodging or food for the trip & I could do it from the comfort of my home. The day came for the meeting I had this great feeling of calmness that I never experienced before a meeting like this.
